Iran launches underground ballistic missile

Online work area

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has fired ballistic missiles from underground in an unprecedented military exercise.

A statement from the IRGC's public relations directorate said today (Wednesday) that on the second day of the military exercise, the enemy's imaginary location was attacked by air and sea.

The final phase of the exercise, dubbed the Holy Prophet (PBUH) -14, began yesterday (Tuesday) and runs through Iran's Hormuzgan province, the strategic Hormuz Strait and the vast expanse of the Persian Gulf. Yesterday the IRGC fired long-range ballistic missiles.

The IRGC statement further said that the Air Force applied modern techniques and displayed military equipment. This paints a picture of the military capability of Iran's elite force in dealing with potential enemy threats.

The statement also praised the ballistic missiles tested by the IRGC.
